Clinician answer
For most patients, sulfur-tasting burps ease within 2-4 weeks of a dose increase as gastric emptying adapts. Slowing meals, cutting fried and cruciferous foods, and moving your injection day away from big-meal days reduce them. If burps are still frequent past 6 weeks, ask your prescriber about pausing dose escalation for a cycle — it is not a reason to stop the drug, but the current dose is not settling.
