Every GLP-1 drug approval from the original Ozempic in December 2017 through Foundayo in April 2026, plus the retatrutide + oral tirzepatide pipeline expected 2027-2028.

What's next in the pipeline

Retatrutide (Lilly) is the triple agonist GLP-1/GIP/glucagon. Phase 2 TRIUMPH trials showed ~24% weight loss at 48 weeks — approaching bariatric-surgery range. Expected FDA filing 2026-2027.

Oral tirzepatide (Lilly) — phase 3 SURPASS-ORAL trials are ongoing. Same dual mechanism as Mounjaro/Zepbound but in pill form.

CagriSema (Novo Nordisk) — cagrilintide + semaglutide combination. Showed 22.7% weight loss in REDEFINE-1 phase 3. FDA filing expected late 2026.
